Public Affairs Analyst, Ibrahim Adeyanju, has called on President Bola Tinubu to publicly clarify his alleged involvement in a United States drug trafficking case in order to protect his political image and the integrity of the nation.
This follows a directive by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, instructing the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to release records relating to their investigations into President Tinubu’s alleged links to drug trafficking.
Speaking during the News Panorama segment of Morning Mix on Royal FM Ilorin, Adeyanju stated that while many of the allegations often stem from political opposition aiming to discredit the president, a thorough and transparent investigation is crucial to prevent any future national embarrassment.
Adeyanju commended the Presidency for its swift response, noting that legal teams are already reviewing the court ruling. He further urged President Tinubu to exhibit every form of conduct necessary to avoid distractions that may hinder the effective execution of his primary responsibilities.
