Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in coordinated sting operations in Ilorin and Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the commission’s Head, Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, highlighted that the suspects were rounded up at Asa Dam, Al-Hikmah University area and Gaa-Odota areas of Ilorin and in Ganmo as well as Amoyo areas of Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
Meanwhile, the statement further noted that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
It would be recalled that the Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC between March and October 2024 arrested a total of 103 suspected fraudsters in the zone.
