Immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has called on All Progressives Congress members in Delta State to warmly welcome defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party.
In a statement released today in Warri, Omo-Agege urged party members to turn out in large numbers to receive Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, his predecessor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and other PDP leaders who have joined the APC.
He said the defections highlight the success of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in driving development across the country.
Omo-Agege added that the APC national leadership and other stakeholders are carefully managing the transition to ensure unity and progress.
