Former Chief of Staff to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, has paid a courtesy visit to Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, where he was warmly received by the institution’s leadership and academic community.
The renowned scholar and diplomat, who has served Nigeria as Minister of Foreign Affairs and at the United Nations, was hosted by the Founder of the university, Alhaji Chief (Dr) Abdulraheem Oladimeji, OFR, alongside the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lateef Oladimeji, other principal officers, staff, and students.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor described Professor Gambari as a beacon of light to the Ilorin Emirate and Nigeria at large.
He reiterated Al-Hikmah University’s commitment to blending academic excellence with moral and spiritual values, noting that the institution has produced graduates who are excelling across Nigeria and beyond.
Responding, Professor Gambari commended the university for its dedication to quality education and moral discipline, describing it as a pride of Kwara State.
He emphasized the role of tertiary institutions in shaping future leaders and driving national development, while also expressing appreciation to the Founder for his sustained philanthropic contributions to education and community development.
