The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Al-Hikmah University, Professor Lateef Oladimeji, has called on Muslims in Nigeria to use the conclusion of the Ramadan fast as an opportunity to renew their closeness to Allah and service to humanity.
Speaking at the two raka’at prayers marking the end of Ramadan in Oko Ode, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Professor Oladimeji, who also serves as the Mufti of Oko Ode, noted the various religious activities observed during the holy month.
These include Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers, acts of charity, communal Iftar meals, and regular Tafsir sessions.
He emphasised the importance of continuing these virtuous acts beyond Ramadan, as this is the only way to demonstrate that the holy month has made positive impact.
According to him, Ramadan instills values such as love, sacrifice, tolerance, and good manners, which should be upheld in daily life.
