A passenger train traveling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed this morning, leaving several carriages overturned and sparking panic among passengers.
The incident occurred shortly after the train departed Abuja around 11 a.m. along the popular corridor. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic and frightening, as passengers scrambled for safety.
Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Kayode Opeifa, confirmed the incident, saying rescue operations are ongoing.
Although the exact cause of the derailment is still unclear, no casualties have been officially reported.
