Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured that President Bola Tinubu remains committed to the welfare of Nigerian workers, wage reforms, and inclusive economic policies.
Speaking in Abuja yesterday during a meeting with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Director-General, Gilbert Houngbo, Shettima praised Nigeria’s labour movement and highlighted the government’s efforts to improve workers’ conditions.
He noted that the recently increased minimum wage is already being implemented in most states, with some exceeding the agreed 70 thousand Naira.
Shettima also stressed the importance of preparing Nigeria’s youthful workforce for emerging global opportunities.
